The Windows Grow Long combines pixel art and frame-by-frame animation into a contemplative walking simulator and interactive poem. Drawing inspiration from early video games and interactive animations, the game follows the footsteps of a cat, the player traverses cityscapes before entering the halls of a gothic house. Through the feline's perspective, poetic fragments unfold across mysterious rooms, building toward a revelation: food. The piece serves as both metaphor of the theatrical nature of cats at mealtime. Merging the delightful with the surreal, the work invites players into the inner life of a singular hungry animal.
